Dana Point

This year there has been an increase in whale and shark sightings. There are many whale watching cruises all over California. I went to the Dana Wharf Sporting and Whale Watching. You can purchase tickets online on their website or you can go in person to The Dana Wharf Sporting and Whale and purchasing tickets.
If you do not see any whales during your trip, you will receive a complimentary ticket for a future visit. You will see dolphins which are always fun to see. Make sure to take a good camera because you will take some pretty spectacular pictures. Food is sold on board the cruise. You can purchase alcoholic beverages and nonalcoholic beverages. I do recommend eating in a restaurant, not because the food on the cruise is bad but because there are many place to eat at. There is a variety of restaurants, from Mexican food to Italian, there is plenty to eat. Make sure you wear a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and layers of clothing because it can be very windy.
There is plenty to see outside of going on the cruise. You can walk around and see the art walk. There are many art pieces on exhibition and they are mostly all are inspired by the ocean. You can walk to Dana Cove Park, which is a small area where you can swim and sun bathe. You can also walk to the Ocean Institute, which is an education center that is fun for people of all ages. If you walk past the Ocean Institute you will arrive to the the coast. It is an unique beach, there is very little sand, instead there are many rocks. If you keep walking on the coast you will arrive at Dana Point's Caves. This is a great location to explore and take pictures.

Las Vegas for Otakus and Geeks

Las Vegas is notorious for being the place to party. The motto is "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." Partying endlessly may sound appealing to some, others may be left thinking "where is the anime?!" Thankfully there is much else to see in LasVegas, especially if you are a fan of anime or superheroes. You can visit the Chinatown Mall. There is a wide variety of stores. There are many bakeries, cafes with boba, bookstores, markets, and plenty of eateries. There is a store called Great Wall Bookstore that has a great variety of products. There are boxes full of stickers, a table with a wide variety of journals, anime merchandise, Studio Ghibli merchandise, novelty items, purses, and a variety of Chinese books. This is a great location to find affordable anime items and stationary. Now if you are a fan of comic books, there is a really good comic book store in Las Vegas. It is called Alternate Reality Comics, located in Pioneer Plaza. There is a good variety of...

LA County Arboretum & Botanic Garden

Seems like these days everyone is out hiking and outdoors taking fantastic pictures. Usually you have to drive a couple hours to get to a great hiking location and you end up having to tread up a mountain. Once you get to the top, your heart hurts and you are sweating bullets. It is fun and you take amazing pictures. Luckily if you are looking to get your heart pumping and also take some amazing pictures without a long drive, there is the Los Angeles Arboretum and Botanic Garden. There is a fee to enter the Arboretum but it is $9 for adults and $4 for children and there is free parking. The great thing about the Arboretum is that you walk for hours and see so much. It is located in the city of Arcadia, east of Pasadena and it is next to Santa Anita Park. It is located in a very urban area but once inside the Arboretum you no longer feel as if you are in the city. The Arboretum is 127 acres of plants, natural landscapes, wildlife, historical buildings, sitting areas, and plenty o...
