New in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a great and affordable location to travel to. Whether you like thrills, shopping, art, ambiance, scenery, food, architecture or just curious to see what Las Vegas has to offer, there is plenty to see. The beauty of Las Vegas is that it is ever-changing.
One of the newest updates in Las Vegas is that many hotels are charging to park in the self-parking structures. If you are staying in a hotel that charges for self-parking, you will be charged $8 per day. There are still hotels that are free. To save some money on the trip, there are many free trams that connect you to different hotels and can leave you closer to other hotels, that way you don't have to worry about parking fees. A tram connects Monte Carlo, Crystal, and Bellagio. The benefit of this connection is that you can exit Bellagio and cross the street to Planet Hollywood and Paris.  A tram also connects Mirage and Treasure Island. Riding the tram systems can make walking through the strip much easier and entertaining.
Also new in Las Vegas is the T-Mobile Arena in between New York New York and Monte Carlo. The arena opened on April 6, 2016. It is a multi-use indoor arena that will have music performances, sporting events, Cirque du Soleil Toruk, and informative presentations.
If you are a fan of Marvel and Transformers there are new exhibits in Treasure Island. The new Marvel Avenger store is the biggest in the world and includes an interactive exhibit. You will have the opportunity to not only purchase exclusive merchandise but also take green screen pictures as different Avengers, operate Iron Man's suit and you will be able to use the Iron Man suit in a virtual experience. You will be able to see the Avengers operational equipment like Captain America's suit and shield. You are also able to play with Transformers as a Transformer.
There are plenty of new things to see in Las Vegas.

Dana Point

This year there has been an increase in whale and shark sightings. There are many whale watching cruises all over California. I went to the Dana Wharf Sporting and Whale Watching. You can purchase tickets online on their website or you can go in person to The Dana Wharf Sporting and Whale and purchasing tickets. If you do not see any whales during your trip, you will receive a complimentary ticket for a future visit. You will see dolphins which are always fun to see. Make sure to take a good camera because you will take some pretty spectacular pictures. Food is sold on board the cruise. You can purchase alcoholic beverages and nonalcoholic beverages. I do recommend eating in a restaurant, not because the food on the cruise is bad but because there are many place to eat at. There is a variety of restaurants, from Mexican food to Italian, there is plenty to eat. Make sure you wear a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and layers of clothing because it can be very windy. There is plenty to s...

The Broad

The Broad is a free museum located on Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles. It is a new contemporary art museum that was founded on September 2015.  Its innovative design captivates you. With two floors of art that is constantly changing. While a few fan favorites stay like the Tulips piece, many other pieces of art are moved. The constant changes guarantee that every time you visit there is something new to see. There are two ways to visit the museum. You can go online to The Broad website and reserve tickets. Tickets do book fast so do not be discouraged, it may take up to a month or two for you to be able to visit the museum. If you do not want to wait too long you can go the day you plan to visit, there is an onsite standby line. Keep in mind admission into the museum from the standby line is first come, first serve. The wait time can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending on how busy the museum is. The onsite standby line closes 90 minutes before the museum does, s...

Las Vegas for Otakus and Geeks

Las Vegas is notorious for being the place to party. The motto is "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." Partying endlessly may sound appealing to some, others may be left thinking "where is the anime?!" Thankfully there is much else to see in LasVegas, especially if you are a fan of anime or superheroes. You can visit the Chinatown Mall. There is a wide variety of stores. There are many bakeries, cafes with boba, bookstores, markets, and plenty of eateries. There is a store called Great Wall Bookstore that has a great variety of products. There are boxes full of stickers, a table with a wide variety of journals, anime merchandise, Studio Ghibli merchandise, novelty items, purses, and a variety of Chinese books. This is a great location to find affordable anime items and stationary. Now if you are a fan of comic books, there is a really good comic book store in Las Vegas. It is called Alternate Reality Comics, located in Pioneer Plaza. There is a good variety of...
